This Friday, Sept. 23rd, My Blind Brother comes out in theaters and on demand. I was lucky enough to be at the 2016 TriBeCa Film Festival where I managed to catch a screening of My Blind Brother, a movie about a guy who lives in his blind brothers shadow, and I loved it. Its an enjoyable grounded yet still “out there” romantic comedy that stands far above the average cheesy romantic comedies churned out by hollywood every couple of months. Check out the trailer here…
My Blind Brother is directed by Sophie Goodhart and stars Nick Kroll (AKA Liz) as Bill, Adam Scott as his blind athlete/hero brother Robbie, and Jenny Slate (AKA Liz) as Rose the girl the two brothers fall for. Anyone who has seen Step Brothers knows that Adam Scott is great at playing an annoying/terrible brother so it shouldn’t be a surprise to any of you when I tell you he’s just as terrific as he is terrible. It’s a funny film start to finish that doesn’t lose itself when it needs to get serious. Plus blind people smoking weed is way funnier than anyone would have ever thought. So this Friday get out there, or get inside to the nearest inter-web/cable terminal, and check out My Blind Brother, you won’t regret it.
Watch My Blind Brother and let us know what you think, and if you have a Blind Brother then definitely watch this movie. Thanks for reading…
