Donald Trump’s Favorite Movies

Recently, President elect Donald Trump was kind enough to some take time out of his busy schedule to talk to dusty DVD about his favorite movies. Mr. Trump loves movies, he likes the best movies, and he’s the best at movies, according to him, because he definitely talked us. We’re thrilled to be able to share the future president’s favorite films, films Mr. Trump claimed were not only his personal favorites, but possibly the best movies ever…

Apocalypto – Mr. Trump told us after watching Apocalypto his decision to build a wall was a no brainer. Not to mention those guys at the top of the pyramid with those silly face piercings, truly inspirational leadership.

Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones – The best of all the Star Wars films according to Mr. Trump, whose favorite scene is Boba Fett holding his dad’s head, a scene he is quite fond of, one that reminds him of his own childhood.

Mission Impossible 2 – If you’ve read our Mission Impossible Movie Ranking article you’d know we rank MI2 at the bottom of the list. Trump firmly disagrees with us, he ranks it at the top. Trump’s a fan of John Woo and free climbing, can you really blame him though?

Irreversible – Mr. Trump loves all kinds of movies, including romantic comedies, which is why he loves Irreversible. Although when we explained to Mr. Trump Irreversible isn’t necessarily supposed to be either of those things Mike Pence came out from the shadows and tried to get us to watch God’s Not Dead 2 so we moved on…

The Jynx (on HBO) – Even though its a series and not a movie Trump says its one of his favorites. Trump loves The Jynx, all the twists and turns, and he truly doesn’t get why Durst gets such a bad rap. Trump knows Durst, he claims he’s a good guy and a buddy, he recounted serval tales of him and “Bobby” tearing up the old NYC nightclub/alley circuit.

Dogtooth – A little known movie from Greece that came out only a few years ago (from the director of The Lobster). Dogtooth has a warm place inside Mr. Trump’s heart. It’s a film about family and Trump claims he couldn’t help but relate to it and eventually he fell in love with it.

Home Alone 2: Lost in New York – Perhaps it was his appearance in Home Alone 2 that set Mr. Trump on the path to the presidency, Mr. Trump certainly believes so. That or the steaks. Home Alone 2 also teaches valuable survival skills. Plus Tim Curry.

These movies are all great, for reasons that may or may not align with Mr. Trump’s reasons for liking them. So either way give them a shot. We salute you Mr. Trump, thank you for taking the time to discuss your favorite movies with us, because you definitely talked to us.

If you also like any of these movies, feel free to leave a comment, and thanks for reading.
