For years we’ve been hearing all sorts of news and rumors surrounding a potential Blade Runner sequel, and after watching the teaser trailer for Blade Runner 2049, I’m like 80% sure there’s going to be a sequel to Blade Runner… check out the trailer below…
Executive produced by THE Ridley Scott, legendary director of films like Alien, Gladiator, Matchstick Men, oh and of course Blade Runner, directed by Denis Villeneuve, director of Arrival and Prisoners (great movie), starring Ryan Gosling who has been absolutely killing it lately (La La Land, Place Beyond The Pines, Only Mother Fucking God Forgives Dude) as well as Rick Deckard himself AKA Harrison Ford. Honestly I don’t think anyone could have really asked for a better team to tackle a Blade Runner sequel. There’s a lot of hype behind this movie. The original Blade Runner is a masterpiece and arguably one of the best science fiction films ever made, and news about Blade Runner 2049 has only been gaining momentum. Not to mention the amazing teaser.
Blade Runner 2049 looks like its going to be crazy good. The trailer completely captures the Blade Runner feel and there’s many questions raised from what we’re shown. Like what the hell’s the deal with the Mad Max red dust setting, is it a dream or was there a nuke or two? And what’s Harrison Ford’s role going to be in this new story? There’s also a ton of awesome actors in the cast (take an IMDB peak). Needless to say, I think the majority of the world’s movie fans are quite excited. Now all we have to do is watch every single cut (or just the final cut) of Blade Runner, and wait until October 2017 for Blade Runner 2049.
Are you excited for Blade Runner 2049? Do you love Blade Runner? How many different cuts of Blade Runner have you seen and which one is your favorite? Have you seen Only God Forgives yet? If not, watch Only God Forgives right after you watch Blade Runner, its amazing, you may not like it, but it may not like you, so think about that before you judge the cinematic masterpiece that is Only God Forgives… feel free to leave a comment, and thanks for reading.
