The MCU has a bunch of upcoming and highly anticipated movies lined up for the next few years. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is coming to theaters in a few weeks and it’s safe to say the whole galaxy is excited for the sequel to what’s arguably the best marvel film ever made (Guardians Vol. 1). But there’s another highly anticipated MCU movie thats scheduled for release way down the road, March 8, 2019 the be specific. It’s a movie that has a lot of potential, it will most likely be a cosmic adventure, it will be lead by a female superhero, and it’s going to be about a character we haven’t even been introduced to yet. I’m talking about Captain Marvel.
Tons of people were excited to hear that Brie Larson would be playing Captain Marvel aka Carol Danvers and now news has recently broken out that Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck will be directing, and that’s awesome. If you don’t know them they directed the film Mississippi Grind, which we’ve recommended in the past. It’s a fantastic road movie where Ryan Reynolds and Ben Mendelsohn drive around in the south and gamble their asses off.
Definitely watch Mississippi Grind as soon as you can and watch Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 when it comes out… my bet is Captain Marvel will be introduced before her solo film in 2019, could be in some sort of post credits scene and Guardians Vol. 2 is apparently going to have 5 post credit scenes. Check out our Guardians Vol. 2 predictions from a few months back here…
Let us know what you think about Captain Marvel and any other upcoming MCU films, and thanks for reading…
